SUNFLOWER CHILDRENS HOSPICE
Sunflower Children’s Hospice was established 15 years ago as a response to the increasing number of children with HIV and AIDS at that time, as well as many children with a variety of life-limiting conditions.
The Hospice has cared for over 5 000 children in this time through home-based care; Day care and care in Sunflower House. It works closely with the District Hospital ; and provides a variety of training courses for families, professionals, primary carers and community caregivers.
Sunflower Children’s Hospice mission is to stop the suffering of children with life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses through providing comprehensive palliative care.
